7th ISSC State level

Conducted Scrabble workshop at SMK Tun Haji Abdul Malek, Cheng , Malacca last Saturday, 11th Feb. Turnout was fantastic! Almost 100 students cramped in the school hall. They were there to learn the game. Realised that Scrabble is not only for town folks. All students should be given the chance to play the game.
Definitely have to go to Malacca to check out new schools for finals.

Decided on these dates for preliminary rounds.
11th March Malacca (Host school to be confirmed)
25th March Muar (Host- SMJK Pei Hwa, Sg Mati)
1st April Penang (If no host, will not do in Penang)
15th April Seremban (Host-SMK Puteri)
8th April Workshop at SMK Puteri
22nd April Selangor (Host school to be confirmed)
29th April Kuantan (Host school to be confirmed)
6th May Kuala Lumpur (Host school to be confirmed)

Students, if you think your school can host the state level event, do contact me. If not, I will go to other states who is willing to host event. Students will benefit as they will learn hands on, how to run competition. All we need is the school hall (to sit 100-120 students, 50-60 tables/desks and 120 chairs ). I will do all the correspondence to spare teachers the trouble of contacting /inviting students to participate.

So far, Berjaya Times Square graciously agreed to sponsor the venue again. Markins Corporation (Julie's Biscuits) is sponsoring snacks as door gifts. Borders Bookstore is generous to sponsor cash vouchers as prizes. 3 other companies has yet to confirm their sponsorship.
