The original inter-school scrabble competition

The first inter-school Scrabble Championship was held on 25th & 26th September 1999 at Subang Parade, Subang Jaya. It was then known as MALAYSIAN NATIONAL JUNIOR SCRABBLE CHAMPIONSHIP 1999.
On 2nd & 3rd June 2001, The 2nd MALAYSIAN NATIONAL JUNIOR SCRABBLE CHAMPIONSHIP was held, again at Subang Parade, Subang Jaya.
In 2003, Mattel Southeast Asia Pte Ltd launched the 'SCRABBLE TO SCHOOLS' Programme.
I guess, Scrabble started to become popular amongst schools, then.

I started doing inter-school from 2004- 5th Inter-school Scrabble Championship 2004 till now.
Students assume that any inter-school Scrabble competition is my event. Please take note that my event is under the kind sponsorship of Mattel Southeast Asia Pte Ltd (the copyright owner of Scrabble). In all my events, you will always see the buntings -

Sorry to hear that some district level Scrabble competition are not run the way it should be.
To differentiate my events, Original Scrabble sets and clocks are provided. I do not allow any word references during competition. Using Official Scrabble Words (International edition) dictionary/word check. Similar format with national/international play.
For inter-school team, there are 4 students to a team. Normally, 5 games are played during preliminary. Games are always held on a Saturday so as not to interfere with school hours.
Format of games usually used- random pairing first game and no repeat subsequent games.
Results are based on highest points accumulated and deciding factor is the cummulative spread.

Students, do contact me if help needed or further information required.
