Just how big was the Inter-school Scrabble Championship held on March 25? Originally, only 15 schools were invited for the Muar Preliminaries but the host school enthusiastically invited more to attend, swelling the number of schools to 30.

A total of 232 players played 4 rounds instead of 5 due to logistical constraints.
