Malaysian Youth Scrabble Championship results

84 students from Penang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Johor, Kuantan, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur met on 21st and 22nd Aug 2006 at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, to compete against each other.

The Inter-school Scrabble Championship allows the students to compete in team events.
With the inaugural Malaysian Youth Scrabble Championship (MYSC), students can now compete individually for the National Junior Champion. I hope to continue with 2nd MYSC next year.

MYSC also double up as part of the selection process to choose Malaysia's representatives to the inaugural World Youth Scrabble Championship (WYSC) to be held in Wollongong, Sydney, from Dec 1-3.
16 students have been shorlisted to compete for the five spots on offer.

I would like to thank Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur (BTSKL), for their kind sponsorship.
BTSKL has been our venue sponsor for inter-school events since 2004.

Without Mattel's support and sponsorship, MYSC would be just a dream for me. Thank you Mattel SEA Pte Ltd.

Glaxo SmithKline (GSK) or better known by their Ribena Mobile, has been our drinks sponsor for the past two years. Some students now associate Inter-school Scrabble with Ribena mobile at BTSKL! Thank you GSK.

A big THANK YOU to BORDERS for sponsoring book prizes again.

This time around, students are not bothered for the prizes! All they want is to participate.
"To gain experience and exposure". This is what most of them told me.
I am really proud of you all. That's the Scrabbler's spirit.

Anyway, at the end of the day, all you want is the results of the event. Here goes -
